Ollywood Singer Debashis Pati Arrested Over Rape & Cheating Charges

Bhubaneswar: Popular Odia cine-singer Debesh Pati was arrested by police on the charges of establishing a physical relationship with a girl through false promise of marriage and subsequently dumping her.

The Ollywood singer was arrested on the basis of a complaint filed by the victim against him at the Nayapalli police station. Police are investigating the case.

In her complaint, the victim from Bhadrak alleged that Pati got intimate with her through false promise of marriage. He allegedly had physical relations with her several times in the past and also took a huge amount of money from her.

Later, he refused to return the money to her and also preferred to snap ties with her. In her complaint, the victim has accused Pati of mental and physical torture as well as sexual assault.

Getting proofs from WhatsApp chats and money transactions, personnel of Nayapalli police station arrested Pati from Jajpur.

Pati is popular for his hit songs like ‘Lachaka Mani Baby’, ‘Chalire Tora Padma Phute’, ‘Shehzadi’, ‘Diwana’, ‘Tu Suna Tu Heera’, ‘Tame Jadi Gadhi Diya Mo Pain’.
