One Maoist Killed in Encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma

Raipur: A Maoist was killed in an encounter with the District Reserve Guards (DRG) in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district on Saturday morning.

According to Chhattisgarh police, this naxalite was slain during an exchange of fire between DRG jawans and the members of the banned outfit inside the Burkalanka jungle area.

The dead Maoists’s body was recovered during a search operation by the DRG in the area. Combing operation is continuing in the area. Further details awaited.
