Online “Angelic Healer” Dupes Rs 1.43 Crore, Victims Lodge Complain With EOW

Bhubaneswar: A self-proclaimed ‘angelic healer’ named Dr Nitin Mohan Lal is alleged to have cheated Rs 1.43 crore from several people across the country in the name of solving their different problems.

Some of these duped persons including those from Odisha and Jharkhand, registered a complaint with the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Odisha police. They alleged that through false promise of solving their problems related to finance, health, business and relationships through through courses on mental healing and pacifying the planets, Lal cheated them of around Rs 1.43 crore rupees.

Through a website, Lal claims to be a psychologist, angelic healer, reiki grand master, neuro-linguistic programming practitioner, life coach and tarot card reader. He also has a YouTube channel. He offers courses costing Rs 2 lakh to Rs 6 lakh, which he claims can change anyone’s life.

Wooed by this high-sounding promise, the victims paid lakhs to join Lal’s courses, which had no impact on their lives.

A person named G Venkateswar Dora of Odisha, who had also fallen prey to Lal contacted other victims they together lodged a complaint against Lal with the EOW.
