Pak Infiltration Bid Foiled in Uri Region, One Terrorist Killed

Srinagar: The Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid by Pakistani terrorists at the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday. One terrorist was killed during the operation, reported India Today quoting Army sources.

Search and cordon operations were intensified in the area following the gunfight.

Army sources said a group of terrorists made an attempt to cross into India. Indian Army troops fired at them to check their nefarious attempt. An exchange of fire took place between the terrorists and Army personnel along the LoC.

Additional forces were rushed to the spot after the exchange of fire.
