Pakistan Violates Cease Fire at Border, 2 BSF Personnel Injured

Srinagar: Pakistan Rangers violated the ceasefire and resorted to unprovoked firing at a border post in Arnia Sector of Jammu. Two BSF jawans were injured in this unprovoked attack by the Pakistan Rangers.

The injured jawans have been identified as Constable Alok Saha (44) and Constable Sujeet Biswas (35) from the 120 Battalion BSF, reported The Statesman.

The Pakistan Rangers fired at the Vikram post in the Arnia sector at around 8.15 am on Tuesday. The BSF jawans fired in retaliation. The BSF personnel received bullet injuries in the firing and were immediately provided medical assistance, a BSF statement said.

Sources said a sniper was used to target the two BSF troopers from the opposite Pakistan post of Iqbal and Khannor.

By signing a ceasefire agreement on February 25, 2021, India and Pakistan agreed to strictly observe all agreements on ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir and other sectors.
