Pakistan’s Visa Issues Resolved, Team Set to Travel for World Cup

New Delhi: The Indian government has approved visas for the Pakistan cricket team to participate in the World Cup, which is set to begin on October 5. The International Cricket Council (ICC) officially confirmed this development on Monday evening, September 25.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had raised concerns about the delay in visa processing, but the ICC has maintained that the process followed standard administrative procedures. The delay was reportedly due to a combination of factors, including the late submission of visa applications by the PCB, the requirement for biometric tests, and the sensitive nature of India-Pakistan diplomatic relations.

The Pakistan squad is now expected to travel to India in a few days and will begin their preparations for the World Cup. They are scheduled to play two warm-up matches against New Zealand and Australia on September 29 and October 3, respectively, before the main event begins.
