Picnic Bus With +2 Students Rams Into Truck in Keonjhar, Over 20 Injured

Keonjhar: At least 22 persons mostly students were injured when a bus carrying picnickers crashed into a truck near Balukuma on NH20 in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Thursday morning.

According to sources, around 60 high school students from the Soro area of the Balasore district were returning after a picnic trip when they met with the accident. Locals rescued the injured and admitted them to Anandpur Community Health Centre.

The collision was so severe that the front portion of the bus was completely mangled. Personnel of the Balukuma police station reached the accident site to start an investigation.

The bus driver, identified as Pratap Chandra Acharya (54), and a student were critically injured in the accident.
