PM Modi Dives Into Arabian Sea To Perform Underwater Puja In Dwarka

Dwarka: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday dived into the Arabian Sea off the coast of Gujarat to perform an underwater puja at the ancient site of Dwarka. Believed to be the submerged city of Lord Krishna, Dwarka holds immense historical and spiritual significance.

PM Modi descended into the azure waters to pay homage to the submerged city, offering peacock feathers, a symbolic tribute to Lord Krishna. Describing the experience as profoundly divine, he expressed a sense of connection to an ancient era of spiritual grandeur and timeless devotion.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister inaugurated ‘Sudarshan Setu’, the country’s longest cable-stayed bridge, spanning 2.32 km and connecting Beyt Dwarka island to mainland Okha in Gujarat’s Devbhumi Dwarka district. The bridge, adorned with verses from the Srimad Bhagavad Gita and images of Lord Krishna, stands as a testament to India’s cultural heritage.

Constructed at a cost of ₹ 979 crore, the bridge features a unique design, blending modern engineering with traditional symbolism.
