PM Modi Meets Indian Gamers, Holds Insightful Discussions on Evolving Gaming Landscape

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged with a select group of gamers, showcasing his interest in the gaming industry. The interaction, captured in a video shared by PM Modi, featured seven gamers, including Animesh Agrawal (8bit Thug), Naman Mathur (Mortal), Mithilesh Patankar (Mythpat), Payal Dhare (Payal Gaming), Ganesh Gangadhar (SkRossi), Anshu Bisht (GamerFleet) and Tirth Mehta.

During the interaction, the gamers highlighted the growing prominence of the gaming sector, particularly the emergence of games rooted in Indian mythology. They also acknowledged the government’s increasing recognition of their creative endeavours.

Inquisitive about the industry’s dynamics, Modi raised pertinent questions, addressing concerns such as the distinction between skill-based games and gambling. Additionally, he explored the potential for gaming addiction and advocated for greater female participation in the field.

Following the discussion, the Prime Minister actively participated in gaming sessions across various platforms, including VR, mobile, and PC/console games.
