Puri: A police complaint was lodged against the e-commerce giant Amazon over the unauthorized online sale of Lord Jagannath’s Nirmalya prasad.
According to reports, a servitor of Sri Jagannath temple named Sambhunath Khuntia registered this complaint at the Singhadwara police station. In his complaint, the servitor alleged that Sri Jagannath’s revered Nirmalya was being sold online on Amazon without the permission of Sri Jagannath Temple management.
As per the complaint, Nirmalya, Khaja and Tulsi leaves claimed to be from Sri Jagannath Temple were being sold on the Amazon platform at Rs 799 without any permission from the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA).
The servitor demanded stringent action against those involved in the unauthorized online sale of the prasad.
