Rain Havoc Kills At Least 26 in Himachal Pradesh, Several Missing

himla: At least 26 people have died and several others are missing as incessant rains wreaked havoc across Himachal Pradesh on Monday.

A landslide at a Shiv temple in Shimla left nine dead. Several others are still feared to be trapped under the debris.

Four other landslide deaths were reported from Phagli of Shimla.

In Solan district, seven members of a family were killed in a cloudburst.

In Mandi’s Dharampur subdivision, two people died after a landslide struck a house. Two people died after a house collapsed in Bambola village of Uttershal area of Mandi.

Landslide also claimed two lives in Balera village in the Arki subdivision of the Solan district.

Apart from an orange alert, the MeT department has also given a flash flood warning in nine out of 12 districts of Himachal Pradesh.
