Rs 29.77 lakh More Unearthed  by Vigilance from Police Inspector’s Cuttack Home

Cuttack: Personnel of the Odisha Vigilance unearthed unaccounted cash worth around Rs 29.77 lakh during searches at the residence of Boiparidguda IIC Susanta Satpathy in Cuttack on Tuesday. The seized cash included bundles of Rs 500 and other denominations. With this, the total cash seized from the possession of the IIC has reached Rs 37 lakhs.

On Monday, sleuths of Odisha Vigilance seized cash worth around Rs 7.5 lakh from Boipariguda police station’s Inspector in Charge (IIC) Susanta Kumar Satpathy.

Around Rs 2.70 lakh worth “ill-gotten” money was seized from him when he was intercepted and searched near Jeypore on Monday evening while he was on his way to his home in Cuttack.

Later the vigilance officials seized another Rs 1.80 lakh cash from his office chamber at Boipariguda police station and Rs 3 lakh from his government quarters at Boipariguda.
