Sexual Harassment of Street Dog, 60-Yr-Old Man Arrested in Gujarat’s Surat

Surat: A 60-year-old man named Harish Maru was arrested in Gujarat’s Surat on charges of sexual harassment of a stray dog.

As per reports, a video clip of the accused attempting sexual relations with the street dog went viral on social media. Following it, Bhartiya Gau Raksha Manch president Dharmesh Gaami filed a police complaint against the accused.

Police arrested Harish and booked him under Section 337 (Whoever voluntarily has carnal intercourse against the order of nature with any man, woman or animal) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 11(1) (for beating, torturing, overdriving, kicking, or overburdening an animal) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960.

The victim dog underwent a medical test to ascertain the credibility of the allegations against the accused.

The accused is a retired employee of Surat’s Municipal Corporation.
