Tension Mars Independence Day Celebration in BJB College, Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Tension between two groups marred the Independence Day celebration at BJB College of Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.

A group of students alleged that the college gate was closed down and they were not allowed to go inside.

Although the college authorities claimed that no celebration by anyone was allowed on the college premises, a group of students alleged that a particular student group was allowed to enter the college while the other group was stopped at the gates.

A group of students sat in dharna in front of the closed college gate holding national flags. Their agitation made the situation tense.

Immediately, police forces were deployed outside the college to maintain peace.
