UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak reached Tel Aviv in a show of support for Israel amid fears of escalation of the violent conflict between Israel and Hamas.
A day back, US President Joe Biden was in Israel.
“I am in Israel, a nation in grief,” the British prime minister said on social media soon after landing in Tel Aviv. “I grieve with you and stand with you against the evil that is terrorism. Today and always.”

Sunak further said that he is looking forward to meeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog.
Before Sunak, Binde and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz made an extraordinary wartime visit to Israel and expressed their unwavering support to the Jewish state in their war against the Palestinian militant group Hamas following the deadly October 7 attack.
