Vishnu Deo Sai Takes Oath as Chhattisgarh Chief Minister in Grand Ceremony

Raipur: BJP leader Vishnu Deo Sai was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday. The 59-year-old tribal leader, and former Union minister, who had previously served as the Chhattisgarh BJP chief, was chosen for the role on December 10.

The official oath-taking ceremony took place in Raipur, with the distinguished presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, chief ministers from various states, Union ministers, senior BJP leaders from across the country, as well as notable personalities and intellectuals.

Sai, a four-term MP and close associate of former Chief Minister Raman Singh, is considered a choice aligned with the party’s ideological mentor, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). During a pre-election rally last month, Amit Shah hinted at a larger role for Sai if the party secures victory.

The BJP asserts that Sai is the first tribal Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, emphasizing his non-controversial image and organizational capabilities.
