Winter Chill Engulfs Odisha, G.Udaygiri Records Season’s Lowest 5 Degree Celsius

Bhubaneswar: G. Udayagiri in Kandhamal district recorded the lowest temperature in Odisha during the past 24 hours at 5 degrees, while winter chill gripped all parts of Odisha.

G.Udaygiri’s night temperature of 5 degrees Celsius was this winter season’s lowest.

According to the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre’s information on Wednesday, the minimum temperature went below 10 degree Celsius in 14 places in Odisha.

G Udayagiri was followed by Phulbani (7), Kirei (7.5), Angul (8), Koraput (8), Semiliguda (8.4), Daringbadi (8.5), Keonjhar (8.6), Rourkela (8.6), Sundargarh (8.8), Bhawanipatna (8.9), Ranital (9), Jharsuguda (9.2) and Sonepur (10).

Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded the lowest night temperature of 13 degrees Celsius.

It is forecasted that shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Koraput, Jharsuguda and Nabarangpur.
