Woman Killed, Husband & Son Injured as Car Hits Their Bike in Jagatsinghpur

Jagatsinghpur: A woman lost her life while her husband and son were injured when a car hit their bike on Cuttack-Paradeep road near Pankapal in Jagatsinghpur district on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Jhili Majhi (28). The injured in this accident were Sumnata Behera (40) and their 5-year-old son. The injured were admitted to Manijanga CHC in Jagatsinghpur.

According to reports, this couple from Indira Colony at Janapal village under Pankapal panchayat was traveling on their bike to drop their son at his school.

All of a sudden a speeding car hit Sumant’s motorcycle from the backside. Jhili died on the spot. Sumant and his son were injured in the incident.

T driver of the accident-causing car escaped from the spot. Police have seized the car.

Locals blocked the road at the spot for some time after the accident.
