Computer Science Graduate Steals 133 Laptops, Arrested in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Targeting the paying guest accommodations of IT employees in Bengaluru, a computer science graduate allegedly stole 133 laptops, 19 mobile phones, and four tablets worth Rs 75 lakh. He was arrested by Bengaluru police on Tuesday.

The accused is a former employee of an IT company. He was making regular visits to paying-guest and bachelor accommodations to steal laptops and mobile phones.

This computer science graduate had two other associates, who used to sell the stolen electronic items. All three have been arrested.

Nearly eight cases of theft by this youth have been detected in the central police division of Bengaluru. An investigation is on to verify whether this youth committed similar thefts in other police station areas or not.
