Bengaluru Cop & 3 Associates Arrested in Odisha for Ganja Smuggling

Bhubaneswar: Anand K, a constable posted at Jigani police station under Bengaluru police district was arrested along with three associates in Kandhamal district on charges of ganja smuggling on November 1.

According to police sources, they were found to be illegally transporting 17.5 kg of dried cannabis flowers.

This group of marijuana smugglers was nabbed at a bus stop in Sarangagada area of Kandhamal, while they were waiting to board a bus for Berhampur.

Personnel of Sarangagada police station became alert about these four persons including the police constable from Karnataka at the bus stop as they were travelling with four suspicious-looking bags. During search, cannabis was unearthed from the bags.
