Poonch: An Indian Air Force (IAF) convoy came under attack by terrorists in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, resulting in the death of one soldier and injuries to four others.
The incident occurred near Shahsitar in Sanai village, Surankote. The injured soldiers were evacuated to the Command Hospital in Udhampur, where one succumbed to their injuries.
Following the attack, security forces in the region launched a joint cordon and search operation to nab the perpetrators. The IAF confirmed the incident through a tweet, stating that the targeted convoy was secured and investigations were ongoing.

The elite IAF Garud Special Forces were quickly deployed to the area to assist in the search operation and counter-terrorism efforts.
In a series of tweets, the IAF provided updates on the situation. The initial exchange with the terrorists resulted in injuries to five IAF personnel, with one soldier later succumbing to their wounds.
