MS Dhoni Duped Of Over ₹15 Crore By Former Business Partners, Files Case

Ranchi: Captain Cool Mahendra Singh Dhoni has filed a criminal case against Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwash of Aarka Sports and Management Limited in a Ranchi court. The dispute stems from an alleged breach of a 2017 agreement to establish a global cricket academy, where Aarka Sports failed to fulfill the financial obligations outlined in the contract. Despite repeated attempts to address the issue through legal channels, Dhoni, represented by Dayanand Singh of Vidhi Associates, claims to have suffered a loss exceeding Rs 15 crore due to the fraud by Aarka Sports.

Additionally, Dhoni’s friend Simant Lohani, known as Chittu, has lodged a complaint, asserting that he faced threats and abuse from Mihir Diwakar after legal action was taken against Aarka Sports. The legal proceedings against Aarka Sports are ongoing.

MS Dhoni recently returned from Dubai after celebrating the New Year with his family and friends. During the trip, he was accompanied by India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant. Both players are expected to make a comeback in the upcoming IPL 2024, with speculations suggesting it could be Dhoni’s farewell season in the league.

Despite a challenging phase, including knee surgery in June 2023, Dhoni led the Chennai Super Kings to their fifth title in 2023. His recovery, closely followed by fans, has been progressing well, with positive updates from both Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan.
