Ganja Worth Rs 1.5 Cr Seized by Police in Boudh Dist

Boudh: Around 1.5 quintals of ganja worth more than Rs 1.5 crore was seized by the police from a forest in Odisha’s Boudh district.

After receiving information that a large quantity of ganja was stocked at a spot in Bidamaska forest near Dimirikhol village, a police team raided the place. They located the dump of ganja and seized it.

The seized ganja weighed 1,560 kg and its value was estimated to be around Rs 1.56 crore, said Boudh police officials.

But, around five persons, who were suspected to be involved in ganja smuggling, managed to escape from the storage point of the seized ganja.

Police are investigating to track down the absconding ganja smugglers.
