Hundreds of cattle were rescued during the cattle drive, 2 arrested

Angul: A large number of cows are being driven from various districts of the state to West Bengal. Pallhadara police were on guard on National Highway 49 late at night after receiving the report of a robbery. At around 3 o’clock in the night, when more than a hundred cows were being taken by a truck, the police stopped the road and checked.

More than a hundred cattle were rescued from the truck and 2 non-Odia were arrested by the police. Hundreds of rescued cows have been kept in the cowshed. While interrogating the arrested accused, they are being illegally transported from Bargarh to Calcutta. The police are investigating the case further.
