Man Kills Second Wife After Spending 15 Yrs in Jail for First Wife’s Murder

Koraput: Bhagat Harijan (63) was arrested by personnel of the Jeypore town police station on charges of murdering his second wife. Interestingly, this accused underwent 15 years of imprisonment for killing his first wife.

Bhagat allegedly beat his second wife to death following a quarrel. The quarrel happened because of a trivial matter that the woman had not served food to Bhagat in time. Bhagat’s son lodged a complaint regarding the murder of his mother Kusuma by his father.

Kusuma was thrashed ruthlessly by a wooden plank and she died on the spot. The incident occurred at dangaguda area under Jeypore town police station limits.

The accused was arrested from Borigumma.

Kusuma was Bhagat’s second wife. The accused had also murdered his first wife and had spent 15 years in prison for the crime.
