Pregnant Woman Gang Raped, Set Ablaze in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: A 34-year-old pregnant woman was allegedly gang raped by three men, who tried to burn her alive, in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district. The seriously injured woman with 90 per cent burns is battling for life in a hospital in Gwalior.

This gruesome incident happened in Chand Ka Pura village of Morena district on Friday.

The victim met a woman to work out a compromise as she had accused her husband of rape. But the victim was allegedly raped by three men who were present in the woman’s house. Later, the trio and the accused woman poured inflammable liquid on her and set her ablaze. , the official said.

The victim’s husband, who is out on bail in the rape case, has handed a video to the police, in which, the victim while being rushed to a hospital is heard saying that she was first gang raped, and then the accused woman and the men had set her ablaze. Investigations are underway.
