Rape Accused Astrologer & Tarot Reader Arrested, Raped Woman in Delhi 

New Delhi: A 35-year-old astrologer and tarot card reader, who allegedly raped a woman in Delhi in 2023, was arrested in Himachal Pradesh.

On March 1, the victim complained before the police that the astrologer and tarot reader Sidhant Joshi allegedly raped her on the false promise of marriage after she approached him to resolve a grievance with her friend.

She also alleged that Joshi recorded some private videos of her to threaten her. Delhi police formed a special team to nab the accused. Based on surveillance of the mobile phone of the accused, the team apprehended him from Kasauli in Himachal Pradesh.

According to police sources, the accused confessed his crime and admitted that he sexually exploited the victim multiple times. He was booked under sections 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.
