Patna: Two persons were lynched by a mob and another was critically injured in Rohtas district of Bihar on Wednesday. These three had allegedly shot dead a former army jawan.
The former jawan Vijendra Singh was shot dead by three bike-borne assailants while he had gone to inspect his under-construction house at Kalyani village.
Locals chased the shooters. A bullet fired by one of the assailants grazed the leg of a chasing villager. This irked the mob further.
After an around 4km chase, the mob rounded up the three shooters at Goshal Dih village. They were kicked and beaten with fists, sticks and bricks. According to police sources, two of them died on the spot, while the third one was rescued in serious condition.
