Girl Preparing for NEET Ends Life in Kota, 29th Student Suicide in the Coaching Hub

Kota: Nisha Yadav, a 21-year-old NEET aspirant allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan in her hostel room in Rajasthan’s Kota district.

This 29th case of suicide by a coaching student in Kota this year occurred on November 29. The deceased was from the Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh. She was preparing for the medical entrance.

Her suicide came to the fore when her father’s calls to her mobile phone on Wednesday night and Thursday weren’t answered. Then her father called up a hostel staff and asked them to check about Nisha.

Nisha’s room was found to be locked from inside. When the door was broken open, she was found hanging from the ceiling.

Nisha’s hostel room did not have an anti-hanging device attached to the fan, which was made mandatory by the district administration of Kota.
