Chef of Ghana Cooks Non-Stop for 227 Hours for World Record

Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak from Ghana recently attempted to make a new world record by cooking non-stop for more than 227 hours, reported the BBC.

Guinness World Records (GWR) in its official response on X said says they look forward to reviewing her evidence. Celebrities, local supporters, and politicians thronged to the Modern City Hotel in Tamale, where Chef Failatu was cooking non-stop. The dishes she cooked during her marathon were spicy jollof rice and banku – “a traditional dish of fermented cornmeal balls in a soup”.

In October 2023, Irish Chef Alan Fisher cooked for 119 hours and 57 minutes at his restaurant in Japan to break the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest cooking marathon. Now the Ghanaian chef has attempted to dethrone him.
