Could Jack of Titanic Have Survived; Scientific Study by Cameron Says “No”

On December 19, 2022, Hollywood classic of all times ‘Titanic’ completed 25 years. All these years, Titanic fans have argued whether both Jack and Rose could have been saved together by staying afloat on the wooden plank. Jack sacrificed to save the Rose. Many spectators feel there was ample space on the wooden plank and Jack could have easily saved himself by getting on it along with Rose.

Director James Cameron has decided to end this speculation through a scientific study. During an interview for Avatar: The Way of Water with Postmedia, he said, “We have done a scientific study to put this whole thing to rest and drive a stake through its heart once and for all.”

James Cameron has planned a special project to prove that the wooden plank couldn’t have saved Jack and Rose. Detail study has been done by forensic and hypothermia experts. Stuntmen with similar body weights of Kate and Leonardo were put in ice-cold water with sensors fixed to their bodies. It was to find out how long they could have survived after the sinking of the Titanic.

The scientific study project taken up by James Cameron has reportedly proved that only one could have survived in the situation shown in the climax of the Titanic movie.

Titanic will be re-released in theatres on Valentine’s Day next year. It will be accompanied by James Cameron’s science show about Jack’s death, which will be telecast on the National Geographic channel.
