After linking Aadhaar to ration card, 50 lakh ineligible cards excluded from scheme

New Delhi: Be it the state government or the central government, it is implementing various schemes for the benefit of the poor people. But most of these schemes do not reach the real beneficiaries. As there are many people in the country and the state who are taking advantage of this government scheme, those who are not eligible are beneficiaries of this scheme. However, such an incident has now come to light. About 50 lakh ineligible beneficiaries have been excluded from the government scheme.

Assam government has made Aadhaar linking with ration cards mandatory. As a result, after this decision of the government, about 50 lakh ration card holders of the state have not received rations and have not linked their Aadhaar with their ration card. However, according to a report by news agency PTI, Assam Chief Minister Hemant Vishwa Sharma told reporters after the cabinet meeting that by linking the Aadhaar card with the ration card in the state, about 50 lakh ineligible beneficiaries were identified. Along with this, Chief Minister Hemant Vishwa Sharma also said that among these 50 lakh beneficiaries, some people have already died and some fake ration cards have also been found.

However, the government system has been tightened to identify these fake and ineligible beneficiaries. By linking Aadhaar with the ration card, 50 lakh ineligible beneficiaries have been identified and their names have been removed from the ration card. According to Assam Chief Minister Hemant Vishwa Sharma, removing the names of these ineligible beneficiaries from the ration card has benefited the state government a lot.
