Central cabinet to announce increased DA on coming 28!

New Delhi: The waiting of lakhs of central employees and pensioners is coming to an end. An increase in the Dearness Allowance (DA) of the employees is going to be announced. Based on the June data of the All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI), consumer prices are already set to rise by 4 percent.

According to a media report, this will be announced in the central cabinet meeting on the 28th. It means that you are likely to get more salary in September.

If the new dearness allowance is introduced, you will get the previous 3 months’ arrears. Then the increased DA will come with your salary. Generally, the DA of the employees depends on AICPI. In this calculation, the salary of the employee is increased. If the DA increases by 4 percent, the employee will get a total of 38 percent DA.

The calculation formula has been changed by the Ministry of Labour. DA calculation rules were changed in the last base year 2016. A new series of wage rate indexes has been released. The Ministry has said that the base year 2016-100 and the new series of Wage Rate Index will replace the base year 1963-65.
