Shahbad Dairy Murder Case: Delhi Court Extends Sahil’s Police Custody by 3 Days

New Delhi: A Delhi court has decided to extend the police custody of the accused in the Shahbad Dairy murder case for an additional three days. The accused, Sahil (20), was presented at the residence of the duty metropolitan magistrate due to security concerns.

This development comes after Sahil brutally stabbed and bludgeoned the 16-year-old victim Sakshi in the Shahbad Dairy area of northwest Delhi on Sunday evening. The heinous crime took place in full view of the public, as Sahil mercilessly attacked Sakshi more than 20 times before using a concrete block to end her life.

Initially, the Duty Metropolitan Magistrate, Jyoti Nain, granted the police permission to interrogate Sahil in custody for a period of two days, starting from Tuesday. However, the court has now decided to extend this custody by three more days. This decision aims to provide the police with additional time to gather further evidence and conduct a thorough investigation into the case.

Following the crime, Sahil was apprehended in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, and was subsequently brought to Delhi on Monday evening. The police acted swiftly to track down the accused and ensure his arrest. Now, with the extension of Sahil’s custody, they will continue their efforts to uncover the truth and bring justice to the victim and her family.
