Know Where To Get Bharat Biotech’s Nasal Vaccine Against COVID

The first such booster dosage to be administered in India would be the nasal vaccine from Bharat Biotech. It can be given to anyone who is older than 18 years old. The vaccine’s price will shortly be determined, and both public and private facilities will carry it.

The Bharat Biotech nasal vaccine against COVID-19 has been approved and will be listed on the CoWIN app, informed Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya.

The intranasal Covid vaccination from Bharat Biotech will be made available in private hospitals and will be released on CoWIN on Friday night, according to reports.

The CoWin portal currently lists Covaxin by Bharat Biotech, Covishield and Covovax by Serum Institute, Russian Sputnik V, and Corbevax by Biological E Ltd.

Earlier, on September 6, the vaccine producer reported that the Drugs Controller General of India had approved their iNCOVACC (BBV154) under the terms of Restricted Use in Emergency Situation for Ages 18 and Over.

The vaccine was designated as the “World’s First Intra-Nasal COVID Vaccine Developed by India” by the Ministry of Science. The vaccine was created in collaboration with Washington University in St. Louis, which also developed it and tested its efficacy in preclinical tests. Bharat Biotech carried out product development activities related to preclinical safety assessment, large-scale manufacturing scale-up, formulation and delivery device development, including human clinical trials.
