Indian cricket star Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma have been extended invitations to attend the historic ‘Pran Pratistha’ ceremony at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22. Kohli is the third cricketer to receive this honour, following Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Despite the upcoming Test series against England starting on January 25 in Hyderabad, Kohli, with permission from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), will take a break from the Team India camp to attend the ceremony, as per several media reports. Dhoni and Tendulkar have also been invited.

The Team India members will gather in Hyderabad on January 20 for a brief training camp, with Kohli taking a day off after his net session on January 21. The ‘Pran Pratistha’ ceremony, expected to draw over a lakh devotees, is a significant event for the city of Ayodhya.

Noteworthy invitees to the ceremony include film and television celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Rajinikanth, and others. The event, organized by Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, is anticipated to be attended by a large number of devotees on January 22.
