Massive Avalanche Hits Mountains Near Kedarnath Temple

Uttarakhand (Rudraprayag): On Monday, October 1, an avalanche was reported from the Himalayan region of Uttarakhand close to the holy Kedarnath Temple. However, no casualties have been reported in connection with the avalanche incident, according to the police.

Avalanches were reported close to the revered Kedarnath shrine on Monday morning in the Rudraprayag region of Uttarakhand’s Garhwal Himalayan range.

From the images floating online, a massive avalanche can be seen descending from the Himalayan mountains. Fortunately, there were no recorded casualties during this occurrence. Additionally, no damage was reportedly done to the Kedarnath Shrine.

It is worth noting that in less than two weeks, there have been two instances of this type of avalanche near the Kedarnath temple. On 22^nd September a large avalanche struck the mountains surrounding the temple. Notably, no damage was reported from the avalanche on September 22.
