Parties Step On The Gas As Karnataka Battle Heats Up

Bengaluru: The electoral battle has intensified during campaigning for the Assembly election in Karnataka. Today’s Road Show in Chamarajanagar district was attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Speaking to a crowd, he asserted that only the BJP can assure the growth of the State and include all communities.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that his administration had tried to provide basic necessities in small towns such as drinking water, roads, and homes in his speech to the electorate in Ranebennur today.

He emphasised that his government had approved additional funding for the State’s development and had established a textile park in the area. He claimed that despite announcing many benefit plans, Congress did not carry them out.

Speaking to the media at Chikmagalur, Congress National President Mallikarjuna Kharge said that Karnataka is known as a pro-development state with progressive ideas and that the Congress party had adopted a number of creative development schemes while in power.

He made reference to the corrupt nature of the current BJP government in the State. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi said that after speaking with sugarcane farmers in Ramdurg, Belagavi district, he had an understanding of their struggles and that the Congress party is committed to writing a growth tale for the State.
