Rishabh Pant’s Car Accident: Locals Blame Pothole For Mishap; Cops Still Probing

Dehradun: Police are still investigating the reason behind cricketer Rishabh Pant’s car accident while the locals said that the mishap took place due to several potholes.

Local residents said that the spot where Pant’s car accident took place has witnessed several other accidents, leading to the loss of lives.

Locals said that there was a pothole on the road, which was filled overnight and Pant’s car lost balance after falling into it.

Locals said that it has been a ‘place of death’ because of the number of accidents that have taken place, but despite that, steps aren’t being taken to repair that place.

On Friday, December 30, Pant’s car crashed into a divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway, resulting in multiple injuries to the Indian wicketkeeper-batter. Thereafter, bus driver Sushil Mann, conductor Paramjeet and the passengers inside the bus came to Pant’s rescue.

Two days after the accident, the reasons behind the same aren’t clear just yet. The police mentioned that Pant had fallen asleep while driving.
