Bengaluru: A heated confrontation unfolded between a traffic police officer and a scooty rider in Wilson Garden in Bengaluru on Monday, garnering widespread attention on social media platforms.
The incident, captured on camera, depicts Syed Shafi engaging in a verbal dispute with the officer after being stopped for riding without a helmet, a violation of traffic rules.
28-year-old Syed Shafi bit a traffic constable’s finger and threatened to burn the traffic umbrella at the 10th Cross junction in Wilson Garden area, Bengluru when caught riding without helmet.

The situation intensified as the argument escalated, culminating in Shafi biting the officer’s finger in an attempt to seize his scooty keys.
According to police officials, a citation for the violation was issued to Shafi using the officer’s mobile phone. However, matters worsened when Shafi forcefully took the officer’s phone and proceeded to assault him, resulting in the biting incident.
Subsequently, Shafi was promptly arrested and authorities have initiated criminal proceedings against him.
