12-Hour Bandh Hits Normal Life In Ganjam’s Bhanjanagar

Bhanjanagar: Normal life was crippled at Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district on Monday following a 12-hour bandh called by the Ghumus Action Committee over the demand for district status to Ghumusar.

According to reports, the Ghumus Action Committee has called the bandh from 6 am to 6 pm. The streets and markets wore a deserted look but emergency services have been exempted from the bandh.

Almost all shops, business establishments, educational institutions and offices remained closed, while vehicles stayed off the roads at various places due to the strike.
