2-Day Nationwide Covid Mock Drill Wraps Up to Evaluate Level of Preparedness

New Delhi: Amid the rising cases of COVID, a massive countrywide two-day mock drill was conducted successfully to evaluate the level of preparedness in dealing with the COVID cases.

The Health and Family Welfare Ministry said the mock drill was conducted at 724 districts in more than 33 thousand health facilities. The health facilities include 28 thousand of government facilities and more than five thousand six hundred private health facilities.

During the mock drill, critical medical infrastructure and resources were assessed and medical staff was oriented on the management of COVID. Critical medical infrastructure including oxygen beds, isolation beds, ventilators, Pressure Swing Adsorption oxygen generation plants, Liquid Medical Oxygen, Oxygen concentrators, Oxygen cylinders, medicines, and PPE kits was assessed.

Recently, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya chaired a meeting with State Health Ministers and urged them to conduct mock drills of all health facilities.
