2 Key Leaders of Imran Khan’s Party Arrested

Two senior leaders of Imran Khan’s party PTI were arrested on Friday. These arrests follow Imran Khan’s arrest in a corruption case. The arrested leaders included Shireen Mazari, a former federal minister for human rights. She was arrested by Pak policemen in plain clothes from her house.

Mazari’s daughter tweeted that approximately 50 cops carrying firearms had entered her residence.

In a statement, PTI informed that Punjab health minister Dr Yasmin Rashid has also been arrested. There are several cases filed against Yasmin, including that of an attack on the Lahore Corps Commander’s residence.
