5 Powerful IEDs Planted by Maoists Unearthed in Jharkhand

Ranchi: Security forces unearthed five powerful Improvised Explosives Devices (IED) planted by Maoists in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district. These explosives were planted by the naxalites to target security personnel involved in anti-Maoist operations in the district.

Four IEDs including a 20 kg and a 12 kg one were located from a forest near Tumbahaka village, another 5 kg IED was found between Chota Kuira and Maradiri villages, said a statement of Jharkhand police.

All the IEDs were defused by the bomb disposal squad.
