5 Terrorists Killed in Encounter at LoC in Kashmir’s Kupwara

Srinagar: Five Pakistani terrorists trying to infiltrate into India were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district in the wee hours of Friday. The terrorists were slain during a joint operation by personnel of the Indian Army and police.

According to Jammu and Kashmir police, a search operation is continuing in the region.

Security forces had received intelligence reports regarding this infiltration bid by the terrorists. The exchange of fire took place between the armed terrorists and security forces in the Jumagund area near the LoC.

Earlier this month, on June 13, security forces shot dead two terrorists near LoC in Kupwara. On June 2, a terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.
