1 Killed, 2 Critical After Ambulance Rams Into Vehicle In Balangir

Balangir: A person was killed while two others suffered critical injuries after an ambulance rammed into their vehicle in Balangir district late last night on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Khusiram Mahanand and the injured victims were his wife and minor daughter.

According to reports, the incident occurred while the family was heading towards Balangir from Patnagarh when Khusiram halted his vehicle on the route to step outside at around 10.20 pm on Thursday night when a speeding ambulance rammed into them.

Subsequently, all three of them suffered critical injuries and were immediately rushed to the nearest hospital where Khusiram succumbed. His wife and daughter are critical and undergoing treatment, official sources informed.

Police reached the spot and initiated an investigation.
