At Last Pakistan Confesses It Showed Seeds of Terrorism

Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Tuesday confessed that his country sowed the seeds of terrorism, as reported by Dawn. His statement came a day after a suicide explosion at a mosque in Peshawar that killed 100 persons and injured several others.

Speaking on the floor of the Pakistan National Assembly, Asif said, “I will not talk for long but I will say briefly that at the start, we sowed the seeds of terrorism.”

According to him, the suicide bomber who blew himself up inside the Peshawar mosque was standing in the frontline during Zuhr prayers.

“Worshippers weren’t martyred during prayers even in India or Israel, but it happened in Pakistan,” he said.

According to the Dawn report, Asif asked who would be held accountable for the Peshawar mosque explosion. He wanted the whole of Pakistan to be united against terrorism.

“Terrorism doesn’t differentiate between any religion or sect. Terrorism is used in the name of religion to take precious lives,” the minister was quoted by Dawn as saying.
