Debris of Destroyed Space Shuttle Discovered Under Sea After 37 Years

A film crew searching for debris from some World War II aircraft, stumbled upon the wreckage of NASA’s Challenger Space Shuttle under the Atlantic Ocean. NASA has also confirmed that the recovered debris was that of the Challenger Space Shuttle.

On January 28, 1986, Challenger Space Shuttle exploded 73 seconds after its takeoff. Serious malfunction of its instruments was the reason behind this sudden explosion. All seven astronauts onboard the spacecraft had died.

While searching for the WW II aircraft wreckage, the divers of the film crew found a large man-made object. It was partially covered by sand on the sea bed. As the wreckage looked like that of a space shuttle, the filming team contacted NASA.
