Delhi Univ to Serve Notice to Rahul Gandhi Regarding his ‘Unauthorised’ Campus Visit

New Delhi: Authorities of Delhi University have decided to issue a notice to Rahul Gandhi cautioning him against making any “unauthorised” visit to the campus in the future.

The notice will be sent to the Congress leader on Tuesday or Wednesday, informed Delhi University Registrar Vikas Gupta. As per the university authorities, such visits of the Congress leader “jeopardise” the safety of students. The university authorities feel proper protocol needs to be followed for any such interaction of the leader with the students.

On Friday, Rahul Gandhi visited a Post-Graduate Men’s Hostel of Delhi University. He interacted with some students and had lunch with them.

“It was an unauthorised visit. Many students were having lunch when he barged in. We cannot tolerate this on our campus,” the registrar said.

Meanwhile, the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), the student wing of the Congress, has alleged that the administration was under pressure to take action against Rahul Gandhi.
