EAM Jaishankar Taunts Rahul & Congress for 2017 Chinese Envoy Meeting

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar alleged that Congress is deliberately spreading false news regarding China. He blamed Congress for India’s loss to China in 1962. He also slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his meeting with the Chinese ambassador in 2017 when both countries were locked in a stand-off, while speaking at an event in Pune.

In strongly retaliated to Rahul Gandhi’s remark that the EAM has a lack of understanding. He said, “If I need any information on China, I will approach the military leadership, army, or Intelligence. I will not call the Chinese ambassador and seek information.”

During his talk in this Pune event, Jaishankar also touched on the topic of terrorism, saying no nation has suffered from the menace as much as India due to the “neighbour we have”. He was referring to Pakistan without naming the nation. He had earlier attacked Pakistan’s terror links at the UNSC council.
